Angela Ferreira

Angela Ferreira is currently finishing a Masters degree in Arts in Health while working as an artist in residence at the Teenage Cancer Trust, at the University Heath Hospital of Wales.
Her work has been exhibited in UK and Portugal and was published twice in the National Geographic educational books in USA and featured in several book covers.
Angela has a holistic background in Reiki and Crystal Healing, and this is reflected in her symbolic paintings with a therapeutic approach.
Angela’s paintings seem to be telling a story, a fairytale... Her goal is to bring cultures together, transmit good inner feelings, positive energy and to take your eyes on a journey to a different imaginative world.

• April-June 2009 – Art workshops at Allensbank Primary School with children with severe and profound communication difficulties

• Sept 2008 – Collaborative Workshop with sculptor Lisa Tann and students from Glyn Derw School, making Wales’ largest Coffee Cup with recycled Materials and a diversity of sponsorships for Macmillan Cancer Support.
• 2008 Creatives Biz, Bringing Art to Business. Commissioned works, participation in exhibitions, events and art gatherings.
• July 2008 – Lush promotional event, with a live art demonstration on Queen Street and exhibition of art work in the shop Window as part of Lushtonbury Festival.
